Dishwasher

Position Summary:

Responsible for clean and sanitary washing, drying, organization, and proper storage of dishes, vessels, and other equipment. Responsible for maintaining general cleanliness of facility. Responsible for assisting kitchen team with food preparation.

The Dishwasher helps to create a positive experience for guests from the moment they enter our restaurant. The Dishwasher is personable, service-oriented, organized, high capacity, and adaptive.

A Day in the Life Of:

  • Following State and County Health Code requirements for ware washing, cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment storage at all times.
  • Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and structure of all areas of the kitchen and other areas as assigned.
  • Completion of Dishwasher prep list daily.
  • Restock products and supplies throughout shift. Maintain storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Maintaining a professional attitude of teamwork, cooperation, communication and accountability.
  • Meticulous attention to detail throughout the work shift.
  • Commitment to performing daily duties e.g. opening, closing, and side work.
  • Basic janitorial duties to clean up spills, broken glassware, etc. immediately.
  • Willingness to report any sanitation or janitorial issues to management.
  • Highly organized, managing placement of all kitchen items and dishes and mindful of need to rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear.
  • Commitment to all around cleanliness.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Must Haves:

  • Positive and friendly attitude.
  • Flexible schedule (mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays included), as early as 6am and as late as midnight.
  • Committed to outrageous hospitality and guest service.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Embodies teamwork and a willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain standing for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to work in a hot, humid environment, and be on your feet for 8+ hour shifts.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • No culinary experience required but is welcomed (we will provide training as needed).
